Itinerary for the day

10-10.30am

  • Sign-in at the registration desk at Academy 1 and then set up your stand.

10.30-10.55am

  • Short pre-event briefing.

11am-2pm

  • Doors open to students at 11am.
  • Lunch will be available to collect from 12:00 noon. Event staff will be able to collect your lunch for you, if you cannot leave your stand.

2-2.30pm

  • Complete the evaluation form and hand it in to one of the event staff.
  • Pack up your stand.
  • Make your way to our post-event networking social taking place at the Students’ Union, next to Academy 1.
  • Follow up with the students who have applied to your opportunities as soon as possible to maximise your chances of recruiting volunteers.

2.30-3.30pm

  • Come along to our optional post-event networking social. Join us for a brew, a slice of cake, and the opportunity to get to know other Volunteering Fair attendees. Meet fellow sector professionals, members of the University and Students’ Union Volunteering Teams, and our student Project Leaders, who run their own volunteering groups on campus.
  • This short networking event will be held in The Nest, located on the ground floor of the Students’ Union Steve Biko Building, next to Academy 1. Friendly members of our team will be available to guide you from the Fair.
  • Secure storage will be provided for any bags or equipment from your stall while you enjoy a well-deserved cuppa.
