The Volunteering Fair
Monday 5 October 2026
The University of Manchester's Volunteering Fair took place in partnership with the Students' Union on Monday 5 October 2026 in Manchester Academy 1, Oxford Road, M13 9PR. This annual event was a great opportunity for our partner organisations to showcase their volunteering opportunities available to students and recruit new volunteers.
Please note that we were only been able to offer a place to organisations at the Volunteering Fair that had a good quality Volunteer Hub advert and up-to-date insurance information*.
We also invited all organisations exhibiting at the Volunteering Fair to an optional post-event networking social on the day. Many organisations joined us for a brew, a slice of cake, and the opportunity to get to know other Volunteering Fair attendees. They met fellow sector professionals, members of the University and Students’ Union Volunteering Teams, and our student Project Leaders, who run their own volunteering groups on campus.
*Unless you were part of the Sports Volunteer Scheme (SVS) and are registered instead with the University's SPORT Team.
